Sometimes we don't want to take Deux Poissons very far. Sometimes all we need is a picnic basket, a bottle of chilled wine, a few snacks and perhaps the Cobb BBQ, before setting off for a quiet afternoon on the river.

Our new 3m tender is perfect for exactly that. Built from rigid fibreglass but with the lines and character of a classic boat, she feels right at home alongside Deux Poissons. We already had a pair of traditional wooden oars tucked away, and a new outboard engine completes the package.

As we've travelled up and down the Thames, we've spotted countless little backwaters, shallow inlets and hidden corners that were simply out of reach for the Deux Poissons. Now we can explore those places at leisure, discovering a different side of the river.

She's also ideal for an impromptu after-work cruise, drifting quietly upstream in search of the perfect spot to watch the sun go down.
